Well...She was worth waiting for.
I started having contractions on Monday morning at about 2:45 am and then my water broke at 4:30. We got to the hospital at about 5:30am after I had a tuna fish sandwich at home. (Justin's mom was gagging and laughing that I could eat tuna fish with pickles at 5 in the morning) :)
they hooked me up to the iv's and monitors and then I got my epidural at about 8:30am. The anethesiologist had his routine and he gives fentinal with all his epidurals, I learned that narcotics make me throw up. So this was my first delivery that there was puking involved which was sad cause it could have been avoided had I just declined the yucko stuff. I had already gotten a nubain? inj. for the pain while I waited for the needle man. There was an emergency somewhere else so he was really delayed getting to me. Beyond the puking everything went well. Epidural, labor, delivery, and recovery, were pretty text book. We had lots of visitors and Taylor stayed awake to greet them all. She was born smiling, and is quiet and happy.
The first night she and I stayed alone and she ate at 11 pm and slept until about 8am. She was up all day so I can understand why she slept and slept. I got up in the night to move around and change her, I tried to feed her but she only wanted to sleep. So the first night was REALLY good. She slept quite a bit more today so I am expecting to be up a little more tonight. Thanks for all your prayers and visits and goodies we love ya all. Thanks for everything.. MORE to come.

Don't get too excited for me yet...
Killing time

Hey this is the fun we had on Saturday, we took mom and the kids to Olympia's lakefair. A little carnival that was just getting up and running when we got there. I got some carmal corn cause I don't get to even ride on the carousel being pregnant, so mom and justin rode next to the kids. Really Lucas was too little for ALLLL the rides but a couple of the carnies played along. I wish we could have captured the look on Lucas' face on that air balloon ride cause it made him queezy and he was looking a LOT green. I was sure he was going to throw up on Jacey and all because we wanted him to be able to ride the rides soooo bad... it was really funny.
This is what a 24lb box of apricots looks like in jars. 6 batches and 33 jars later this is what we got. I'm figuring this will be 2-4 years worth since we also have raspberry and strawberry jam. Next is peaches later in August. Justin and Mom did the washing, cutting, and hand blended the apricots and I cooked and mixed then put into jars, Justin put lids on after I filled them. 6 batched goes pretty fast with 3 sets of hands. Justin is pretty excited because this is his favorite.

Amanda's turn 1st....Announcing Harley Jane
And interestingly enough Amanda having her baby has lessened the pressure I was feeling to be done. I now feel like I have had a little attitude change and maybe another week won't kill me. I don't know how it changed anything, but I am content to enjoy her moment without feeling so frustrated at my own situation. I say as long as I have my baby before Sarah (due July 24th) I should be o.k. :)
