A Little Piece of Preaching

Though I don't consider myself very knowledgeable about politics I do have a strong belief in standing up for what you believe in. I have voted for at least the President of the U.S. since I was old enough to vote. I voted in the elections for Govenor and other state offices and try to understand what is happening in my community. In my blessing given to me by a Patriarch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints I was told to grow to be well informed. I don't think that is too private to share and I hope I am not over stepping any boundaries by sharing this small piece of an important gift given to me. I think of that statement often as I get older and have a better grasp of the world around than when I first recieved that blessing. I hope I am growing in understanding the way our government, church, schools, and the world around me opperates. I was passed an email that I was supposed to forward if I agree and delete if I disagree and I thought I would do one better and share this blip of patriatism with you. I believe that the founding fathers would be slightly horrified to see what has become of us and the depths we will go to serve our selfishness. I also think they would see how far we have come to try to consider all people of equal value and keep this country a place for people of all races to acheive the American Dream. I try not to keep myself up at night worrying about all the things that are wrong in the world. (this is why I don't study politics :)) But it is also not easily ignored. So here is the email I got that I wanted to share with you and add that I complete and whole heartedly AGREE. I would add that we are a Christian Nation founded and built on a belief in GOD. I come from a Church who preaches to let men worship how, where and what they may. Even if I don't agree with the vocal 14% of you who want us to give in to your you are welcome to your OPINION, and I am welcome to mine. So here it is. I DON'T WANT GOD TAKEN OUT OF THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGENCE, OFF OUR MONEY, OR OUT OF OUR COURT HOUSES. Thanks very much for your opinion though. Most if not all of you reading this I'm pretty sure believe the same way but if not I am not trying to offend you I am just standing up like you and voiceing my opinion. Sorry I couldn't get the pictures to paste. here's the message though.

DID YOU KNOW? As you walk up the steps to the building which houses the U.S Supreme Court you can see near the top of the building a row of the world's law givers and each one is facing one in the middle who is facing forward with a full frontal view . it is Moses and he is holding the Ten Commandments!

DID YOU KNOW?

As you enter the Supreme Court courtroom, the two huge oak doors have the Ten Commandments engraved on each lower portion of each door.

DID YOU KNOW?

As you sit inside the courtroom, you can see the wall,
right above where the Supreme Court judges sit,
a display of the Ten Commandments!

DID YOU KNOW?

There are Bible verses etched in stone all over the Federal Buildings and Monuments in Washington , D.C.

DID YOU KNOW?

James Madison, the fourth president, known as "The Father of Our Constitution" made the following statement:

"We have staked the whole of all our political institutions upon the capacity of mankind for self-government, upon the capacity of each and all of us to govern ourselves, to control ourselves, to sustain ourselves according to the Ten Commandments of God."

DID YOU KNOW?

Patrick Henry, that patriot and Founding Father of our country said:

"It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded not by religionists but by Christians, not on religions but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ".

DID YOU KNOW?

Every session of Congress begins with a prayer by a paid preacher, whose salary has been paid by the taxpayer since 1777.

DID YOU KNOW?

Fifty-two of the 55 founders of the Constitution were members of the established orthodox churches in the colonies.

DID YOU KNOW?

Thomas Jefferson worried that the Courts would overstep their authority and instead of interpreting the law would begin making law . an oligarchy

the rule of few over many.

DID YOU KNOW?

The very first Supreme Court Justice, John Jay, said:

"Americans should select and prefer Christians as their rulers."

How, then, have we gotten to the point that everything we have done for 220 years in this country is now suddenly wrong and unconstitutional?

Lets put it around the world and let the world see and remember what this great country was built on.

Chamber , US House of Representatives

I was asked to send this on if I agreed or delete if I didn't. Now it is your turn...
It is said that 86% of Americans believe in God. Therefore, it is very hard to understand why there is such a mess about having the Ten Commandments on display or "In God We Trust" on our money and having God in the Pledge of Allegiance.. Why don't we just tell the other 14% to Sit Down and SHUT UP!!!

If you agree, pass this on

That's our kind of Crazy...

I don't have much time, somehow the kids are in bed but still requiring my attention.
I thought I would let you all know that Justin got to come home about 3 weeks ago for a few days and we really enjoyed having him back, he is in Indiana today has has been to Kentucky, Mississippi, and Wisconsin all within the last 3 weeks and now Indiana. The story changes with the day and the work is drying up by the week which is why so many moves in such a short time. I am jealous that he is having an adventure without me and would love to have our RV back right now so we could be seeing these parts of the country together. He was at the foremans house in Mississippi last night riding 4 wheelers and taking horses to the local store. He has spent a lot of hours in the trucks going back and forth. I am not sure how long Indiana's job will last but all I know is he's working he's happy to be providing and looking forward to these storm checks to start rolling in and boosting the savings back up.

I would say Lucas is potty trained if all we did is stay home and let him play naked. hahaha. We haven't ventured to anyones house, the store, or outside in his undies but he has mastered going potty with clothes on all day long at home. He loves to tell me "I do it mysilf." "I do it" and then he does. Today we got so brave to put him down for a nap in his undies and he woke up DRY!! He still doesn't go on command like "lets go potty before nap time" so I haven't tested his ability to control himself in public yet. I don't actually take him ever, he goes about his business I leave him alone and he tells me "I did it momma, I pee peed in the toilet" I run to see and give high 5's and hugs and give lots of praise, all I do is help wash hands he does he rest. He has done awesome!!!

Taylor is being a crab for the first time ever in her life!! Just kidding but she is so nice that her rare crabbyness throws me for a loop. I think she's growing or teething she was up a lot last night.

Oh, back to Lucas he had ventilation tubes put in last thursday morning because he has had multiple ruptured ear drums and has actually lost a little hearing on his left side. It does require general anesthesia but he was in and out of surgery in 12 minutes. Then we sat in recovery for 45 minutes while he woke up and had a popsicle. That boy is a hit with the ladies I tell ya. They had a wagon to let the kids have rides in while they waited for surgery and I pulled him around the surgery center once and then he wanted to pull me, which the nurses all loved. Here are a couple pictures of us in our little room before he went into surgery. My Uncle Cliff was brave enough to come watch the girls at 6 in the morning so I could get Lucas there on time for a 7:30 am surgery. He did great and Jacey loved having him there. We were back to the house before Taylor woke up so he didn't even see her. So thanks Uncle Cliff your a good sport, we really appreciate it.

I also have to thank everyone else who has watchced my kids in the last few weeks I have dropped them off to everyone. A friend from Church brought us dinner last week while we were all sick. Lucas had a pre-op appt. tues, his surgery thursday. Saturday I took a break and dropped them at a friends/neighbors house so I could run some errands in town ALONE. I had a dentist appt. Monday and then went and had an IUD put in today. So there has been quite a bit of generosity being given in my behalf. SO to all of you, a big hug and HUGE Thank you. I am so grateful.

Jacey deserves a thank you as well she has grown into such an amazing helper. I tell her all day long go check on your brother, Jacey grab me a diaper. Jace will you go get dressed, clean your room, put Taylors toys in front of her please, go put your clothes away. She does SOOOO good and I would be a lot more frazzled without her. She has a talk to give on Sunday and I know she will do great.

That about wraps up our kind of crazy, I hope I get a chance to catch up on all you crazies soon. I miss reading all your goings on. I am affraid to check my email I bet there are 54. I'll let you know if that guess was far off or not. Happy Valentines Day all you love birds. Soak it up cause I don't get too. Jealous much?? not much...a much too much....(Ace Ventura) Bye for now.
