Howdy Y'all, I am having fun visiting your blogs and seeing what you are doing lately. We, like a lot of you, had a beautiful weekend and we are back to rain this Monday morning. This morning I am looking into getting some quotes on some curbing for the front of our house, I am also switching my car insurance this morning along with making a list of chores and groceries.
I went to my regular doctor on Friday with the kids thinking it will be a quick visit which it would have been if I hadn't been guilted into taking the hour long sugar test I had been avoiding. I am confident that I don't have gestational diabetes so I wasn't going to have that test done. I told my doctor, who agreed, I probably don't have gest. diab. YET he wasn't willing to risk missing a diagnosis on the off chance it came back positive. AND am I willing to risk the baby being stillborn because I didn't catch the diagnosis. and the answer is NO. now that I have been sufficiently guilted I will go to the lab and do the test so that I can sleep at night. So we were all at the doctors office for an hour from start to finish for my appointment and then we started the lab portion which takes another hour. SO MUCH FUN. Had I drank the orange goo when I got there and had my blood drawn after my scheduled apt, we could have saved an hour of chasing my kids up and down the stairs and the whole bit but because I have guilt I turned a short trip into a 2 hour visit. The kids were actually pretty good considering. So far visits have been normal with no significant findings and I will let you know the result of my sugar test. as if we don't already know. Maybe I'll have a surprise for you. we'll see. The kids are ornery as ever as am I apparently. More Later.

Justin Swainston

Here is the Daddy of our house. We sure do like him, we know we are super lucky to have a Dad and Husband and Friend who works so hard, plays hard, and is Soooo handsome!

Justin is working for Potelco right now, they are a contractor who does all the power work in this area. He is finshing his apprenticeship and is really excited to be able to call himself a "journeyman lineman". We are excited for him as well, he has worked as a power lineman for 3 years and it has taken us all over. We lived in an R.V. for two years and moved 9 times in that 2 years, we bought a house in March of 2007 where we live currently and have been really happy for the space, yard, security, and comforts of a real home.

Justin enjoys his work a lot and is really proud of what he does. He also enjoys working out, golfing, baseball, playing yahtzee with me (just kidding- he plays if I make him, or if he is trying to make me happy. :) but he is sure before he starts that he is going to lose, which is true most the time), "tinkering" in his garage, and watching sports. He likes college football over pro and generally roots for the underdog without a particular favorite.

He, like me, hates clutter. He isn't particually fond of his small truck (a ford ranger) and hopes for a "real" truck someday soon. He doesn't whine really ever so I am having a hard time thinking of his dislikes. He is easy to please for dinner and happy when he comes home from work, what more can a girl ask for??!! :) That is a little bit about the man of my dreams, as Mary Poppins put it, "practically perfect in every way".

Jacey Rae Swainston

This is Jacey for those of you who have not met her, she is 3 1/2 born October 6th, 2004 in Boise Idaho. she came 2 weeks early anxious to get here. She has been moving like wildfire ever since. She walked at 9 months and started talking almost immediately it seems, those who have met her can attest to that. She is the little girl with a curl, when she is good she is very very good, but when she is bad she's horrible. She likes playing her guitar, singing and dancin' and turns into a zombie in front of a T.V.
PICTURES- she woke up like that one morning after I braided her hair. and the one to its left is with a hair straightener, her hair gets pretty flat on the 2nd and 3rd day of sleeping on it, so that really didn't take as much work as you might think. The one in her denim dress is one of my favorites, she looks as if she is crossing her fingers which is just like her. "I'll stand here pretty" but she has a secret, "this isn't who I REALLY AM!!" what a doll!

Lucas Leo William Swainston

Here is the Boy. Lucas was born July 21st, 2006 in Lewiston Idaho. I was induced with him since we were living away from all family and I needed to know when he was coming so Justin could take Jacey. Justin wasn't always in range of a phone call when he was working in the hills of Lewiston, which makes getting a hold of him to tell him we're having a baby rather impossible. So...thus, I was induced. He started out really mellow and easy going, and now has turned the corner into a full blown toddler. He has a great laugh and still has a fun loving personality. He loves his sister and anything that involves a ball. He also walked early and so I have been chasing kids from the beginning. He has a blood curdling scream that can crack glass and isn't affraid to use it. Slowly he is learning to use words instead of volume alone.

I can see that this is going to require a lot of time, I just erased my first post including pictures, how annoying. so here is our most recent family picture. This is what we sent out for our annual Christmas Cards, it was a headache and a half. this doesn't show the fiasco, just our smiling faces hiding the frustration and tantrums (by everyone, including me). Jacey is 3, Lucas 18 months, and baby 3 about 10 weeks along.
