Well if you all must know, I think thumb sucking is evil. It's is one of my least favorite things kids do... NOW don't stop reading because I am not condemning anyone who sucked their thumb or who has children who sucked their thumbs. I too was one of those thumb suckers, well finger sucker actually, and I actually had to have a spike placed in my mouth because I was sucking my fingers in such an odd way that it was damaging my tooth formation...however that is another story of which I have only been told and don't actually remember. BUT!!!... I now have a beautiful little thumb sucker of my own who to my dismay REALLY like her beasty little thumb. And what's worse is I will show it to her when she's being crabby at me just so she will quit. I have 2 kids who would have nothing to do with pasifiers or anything like them and I suppose I had this coming. Everyone says "at least you can take away a pacifier." like somehow that is comforting. I wish she did want a pacifier so I could eventually take it away. Anywho the point of the story is, Taylor has TEETH!! She spiked a fever yesterday and started with a runny nose so I stuck my finger in there and low and behold she had little "sharpies" poking right out at me. And she's been so nice that I didn't even think about her teething, that is the kind of teething I can handle. Well there you have it. Maybe that is why she started with the thumb sucking? She is such a nice girl she thought "I will give mom a break and just soothe this gnawing pain in my mouth all by myself" any chance my 4 month old is that self sufficient?? anyone? that's why right? she not going to be a Kindergartener that sucks her thumb?
And why won't Lucas use the toilet? He doesn't mind sitting on the toilet, it's not fear? what is it?

So I was picking up babies from all over my house and came across this one who was dressed at the time and I grabbed her up and thought to myself "she is very cushy," and then I undressed her and this is what I found. When did my 4 year old become so very good at working clothes and things. She undressed her baby put a diaper on her and dressed her all back up. Awesome. I think Jacey just earned herself a new choir. Any guesses on what that might be? yeah. She can help me with Taylor and she would think it's FUN!!!

HA HA! Mia is also VERy good at diapering her baby but I don't let her near Morgan.
Good luck with the tumb, I can't help you there. Anna gave it up when she got her 1st tooth at 7 months becuase I THINK she bit herself and wouldn't take it OR her thumb again :(
Cole and Taylor both have teeth as does Morgan's other cousin Lucas and he doesn't have a tooth to be seen - here's to hoping he holds off a while longer :D
Zach didn't have a tooth for a year, you had one at four months. (and USED them!)
Jacey is an awesome diaperer! That's a great job! See how I was saying that after a while the bigs really can help the littles? Things shift after while, it won't always feel this overwhelming, I promise. Love you!
Oh! I hope she doesn't get addicted to that thumb! All my babies have LOVED the pacifiers, ao I've never ran into that problem.:) Good luck with the potty training thing! I finally just took the diapers away and said I was staying home for a week and doing laundry all day! It took only 2 days, and those weren't even that bad and a week later he was w/o the diapers for bedtime! It was great! How old is Lucas? My girls were trained right at 2, but I had to wait until 2 1/2 for Brennen. I think boys need a little bit more time. Anyways, good luck!
And now I'm 32 and I still have a space in my mouth where an adult tooth is supposed to be- but hasn't managed to push it's way in yet, go figure...
Ryan HELPS me diaper Cole sometimes... but I don't think I'd ever let him loose on his own...who knows what would happen!!
Good luck with the thumb sucking...I was a finger sucker too...apparently Cole's thumb sucking was short lived. :-)
Are you guys flooded up there yet?
I got nothing for you. I didn't have a thumb sucker, but I know a device you can use when she's older to rid her of the habit. I've had friends use it. She is awfully cute when she does it.
And the potty training thing? I've wiped all memory of how that happened from my brain because it's such a painful time for me. Apparently I managed it - or rather they did. There was a time when I wondered whether they'd be going to kindergarten in diapers however.
Have I told you lately that this too shall pass?
